Overview

You will be responsible for the setup, breakdown, and maintenance of all banquet functions to ensure events run smoothly and meet guest expectations. This role involves close coordination with the banquet team and a strong focus on efficiency, attention to detail, and customer service. This is an On-cal position Pay Rate $17.25 #towncountrySD

Responsibilities

  • Set up banquet rooms according to event orders and guest specifications, including tables, chairs, linens, staging, and equipment
  • Break down banquet setups promptly and return equipment and materials to proper storage areas
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of all banquet spaces before, during, and after events
  • Assist banquet servers and catering staff with service needs during events, including replenishing supplies, refreshing water stations, and clearing items as necessary
  • Inspect meeting rooms and event spaces for completeness, cleanliness, and functionality
  • Respond quickly and courteously to guest and client requests
  • Properly handle and care for hotel property, furniture, and equipment
  • Maintain safety and sanitation standards at all times

Qualifications

  • Previous hospitality or banquet service experience preferred
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
