Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

Keep It Fresh & Ready. Take pride in keeping laundry facilities, equipment, work areas, and linen storage spaces clean, safe, sanitary, organized, and ready for daily operations.

Keep the Operation Moving. Sort, load, wash, dry, fold, and organize linens, towels, and other hotel laundry according to established procedures and quality standards. Ensure clean linens are properly stored and readily available to support Housekeeping and other departments.

Quality Matters. Inspect linens and towels throughout the process and proactively remove torn, damaged, excessively worn, or stained items from circulation for reclaim, repair, or disposal according to property standards.

Know Your Equipment. Maintain complete knowledge of the proper operation, care, and routine maintenance of laundry equipment. Follow manufacturer and property procedures and immediately report equipment concerns, unusual noises, leaks, or other potential issues.

Safety First. Follow all required safety, cleaning, sanitation, and chemical-handling procedures. Properly handle, clean, dispose of, or move materials and objects in accordance with property policies and applicable OSHA standards, including procedures related to bloodborne pathogens and potentially contaminated materials.

Keep an Eye Out. Promptly report damaged linens, equipment, facilities, safety hazards, maintenance concerns, or other issues that could impact the operation or guest experience.

Stay Organized. Maintain accurate organization and rotation of clean and soiled linens to help ensure adequate inventory levels and minimize shortages. Keep linen storage areas neat and properly stocked.

Work as a Team. Communicate and coordinate with Housekeeping and other departments regarding linen needs, special requests, shortages, and daily operational priorities.

Handle with Care. Safely transport, lift, push, and pull laundry carts, linen bags, supplies, and equipment throughout the property while following proper safety and ergonomic practices.

Be Guest-Ready. Understand that although much of your work happens behind the scenes, your attention to cleanliness, quality, and organization directly contributes to the guest experience.

Pitch In. Support the Housekeeping team with additional cleaning, organizing, stocking, or operational duties as needed to keep the department running efficiently and the property looking its best.
