As an Overnight Security Officer at our large resort, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, team members, and property assets during overnight hours. This position plays a critical role in the overnight operation of the resort, requiring professionalism, vigilance, and excellent communication skills. A validGuard Card is required. Patrol resort grounds, buildings, guest areas, and back-of-house to ensure safety and security.
Monitor surveillance systems (CCTV), alarm panels, and fire life safety systems.
Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations, including medical calls, guest disputes, and fire alarms.
Prepare and submit accurate and detailed reports on all incidents, accidents, and suspicious activity.
Enforce resort policies and procedures while delivering excellent guest service.
Assist with lost and found procedures and secure storage of guest items.
Control access to restricted areas and monitor for unauthorized individuals or activities.
Collaborate with local law enforcement, emergency responders, and internal departments as needed.
Support the evacuation of the property during fire alarms or emergencies.
Perform wake-up calls and guest wellness checks when requested or required.
Participate in routine security training, drills, and certification updates.
Valid Guard Card is required at time of hire.
CPR, First Aid, and AED certification preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of previous security experience in hospitality, healthcare, or large venues strongly preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in high-pressure or emergency situations.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight hours.
Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (entire 8.5-hour shift).
Must be able to climb stairs, walk uneven surfaces, and conduct foot patrols across indoor and outdoor resort grounds.
Must be able to lift, carry, and push/pull up to 50 lbs.
Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and kneeling.
Must be comfortable working in various weather conditions and temperature changes.
Must have clear vision (with or without correction) and good hearing to observe and report incidents accurately.
Must be able to respond quickly and move swiftly in emergency situations.
